Daunorubicin HCl
ADCs Toxins, Daunorubicin HCl is a chemotherapeutic of the anthracycline family. It is mainly used to treat acute myeloid leukemia and acute lymphocytic leukemia. The biochemical mode of action is the inhibition of DNA and RNA synthesis as sequence specific ds-DNA interacting agent. Daunomycin binds to every 3 base pairs and induces a local unwinding angel of 8°C. K562 (Erythroleukemia cells): IC50 = 15 nM (human); NHDF: IC50 = 190 nM (human). pKa: 7.39, pKb: 8.68.
