Shown to be more effective than PTX in protecting WC/1 murine fibrosarcoma cells from TNF-alpha cytotoxicity and in inhibiting neutrophil superoxide anion production, degranulation (lactoferrin release) and surface expression of the beta-2 integrin CD11b/CD18.
