Terbutaline is one of β-agonists illegally used in livestock production. It can improve the meat/fat ratio in fattened animals and accelerate livestock growth. It is also used as a fast-acting bronchodilator (often used as a short-term asthma treatment) and as a tocolytic to delay premature labor.
