Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) is an immunosuppressive agent with antitumor and antiviral effects. It inhibits the synthesis of guanosine nucleotides by binding the enzyme inosine monophosphate dehydrogenase (IMPDH). This limits the proliferation of T- and B-lympocytes.
