Zuclopenthixol Decanoate
Zuclopenthixol decanoate is a typical antipsychotic drug belonging to the thioxanthene class. lt has high affinity for both dopamine D1 and D2 receptors, for α1-adrenoceptors and 5-HT2 receptors but has no affinity for cholinergic muscarine receptors. It is used in the maintenance treatment of chronic schizophrenic patients. lt is not approved for use in the United States. It was introduced in 1962 by Lundbeck.
