cis-3,4′,5-Trimethoxy-3′-hydroxystilbene is a stilbene. cis-3,4′,5-Trimethoxy-3′-hydroxystilbene induces cytochrome c release to the cytoplasm. cis-3,4′,5-Trimethoxy-3′-hydroxystilbene-induced apoptosis is associated with mitochondrial release of cytochrome c. cis-3,4′,5-Trimethoxy-3′-hydroxystilbene also suppresses tubulin polymerization. cis-3,4′,5-Trimethoxy-3′-hydroxystilbene can be used for leukemic research^[1].
