N-Hexadecanoyl-Alanine
N-Hexadecanoyl-alanine is a diazonium salt that is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of an acyl chain. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of cancer cells and induce apoptosis in vitro through hydrogen bonding with the fatty acid chains, which leads to membrane disruption. N-Hexadecanoyl-alanine can also react with amide groups, leading to intramolecular hydrogen bonding, which may be responsible for its anti-senescence effects. This chemical also binds to pluronic P123 and cationic surfactants and has been shown to have skin cell regenerative properties.
