Ellipticine
Ellipticine (NSC 71795) is a potent antitumor alkaloid that inhibits the activity of DNA topoisomerase II. It acts by intercalating into DNA, causing DNA damage and inducing cytotoxicity. It also can disrupt mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and exhibits potential antineoplastic effects.
