Citicoline Sodium
Citicoline Sodium is a nucleic acid derivative that is an essential intermediate in the synthesis of lecithin, the main phospholipid of cell membranes. It is able to increase plasma adrenocorticotropic hormone levels as well as to intensify serum thyrotropin levels.
It can also reduce cerebral vascular resistance, increase cerebral blood perfusion, and promote brain substance metabolism. Citicoline Sodium is mainly used for the treatment of neurological sequelae caused by craniocerebral injury and cerebrovascular accident, and can be used for the treatment of Parkinson’s syndrome and has certain efficacy in Alzheimer’s disease; it is used for the treatment of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases; others such as delaying aging, improving learning effect and memory also have certain efficacy.
