Nasunin| ChemScene
Nasunin, an antioxidant anthocyanin, possesses antiangiogenic activity. In Vitro: Nasunin at higher 10 μM suppresses microvessel outgrowth in an ex vivo angiogenesis assay using a rat aortic ring.
Nasunin suppresses HUVEC proliferation in a dose-dependent manner (50-200 μM).
Nasunin diminishes LPS-induced nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) activation by suppressing thedegradation of inhibitor of κB-α and nuclear translocation of p65 subunit of NF-κB. Nasunin also attenuates the phosphorylation of Akt and p38, signaling molecules involved in pro-inflammatory mediator production.
