Debenzoylgalloylpaeoniflorin is a poria with chemical compositions of oxypaeoniflorin, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and malondialdehyde. It has been shown to have anti-aging effects in human dermal fibroblast cells. Debenzoylgalloylpaeoniflorin is also a bioactive compound that has been shown to inhibit the production of collagenase and other matrix metalloproteinases in vitro. This compound has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. The compounds found in debenzoylgalloylpaeoniflorin are also known as flavonoids.
