β-Exotoxin is a thermostable metabolite produced by some strains of Bacillus thuringiensis. β-Exotoxin can be used to screen and quantify indigenous thuringiensin-producing Bacillus thuringiensis isolates. β-Exotoxin can destroy cells or disrupte normal cellular metabolism to damage the host.
