Eupatorin 5-Methyl Ether
Eupatorin 5-methyl ether is a flavonoid that is found in the plant Andrographis paniculata. This compound has been shown to inhibit telomerase activity and induce cell apoptosis. Eupatorin 5-methyl ether has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. The extract of this plant has been used traditionally in India as an herbal remedy for urinary tract infections, but most of its bioactive substances have not yet been identified.
