Eicosadienoic acid
Eicosadienoic acid (Eicosa-11Z,14Z-dienoic Acid) is a polyunsaturated fatty acid that is metabolized to stearidonic acid (SCA) in macrophages, altering cellular phospholipid composition. It alters the inflammatory response to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) by decreasing nitric oxide (NO) production and increasing prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and TNF-α levels.
