Αlpha-Lipoic Acid
Alpha-lipoic acid is also known as alpha-lipoic acid. alpha-lipoic acid is a light yellow powdered crystal, almost odorless. Solubility in water is small, about 1 g/L (20°C). Soluble in 10% NaOH solution, soluble in aliphatic solvents. Soluble in methanol, ethanol, chloroform, and ether.
Alpha Lipoic Acid is a water-soluble and fat-soluble metabolic antioxidant, a vitamin-like substance.
Lipoic acid can act as an antioxidant in both water-soluble and non-water-soluble environments and has been found to have a positive effect on a variety of chronic diseases other than diabetes, such as cardiovascular disease and liver and kidney disease. It has a therapeutic effect on neuropathy caused by alcohol or chemically toxic substances and also helps to repair liver cells that have been chronically overstimulated. Dermatological studies have confirmed that lipoic acid has a significant anti-wrinkle effect and is effective in preventing skin aging. Clinical studies in dermatology have confirmed that topical lipoic acid has the effect of reducing the formation of fine lines in the skin and protecting skin cells from UV rays.
