Cleroindicin B is a reactive molecule that can be used in the treatment of diseases of aging. It was first isolated from a culture of Streptomyces cleroides, and is structurally similar to the natural amino acid lysine. Cleroindicin B has been shown to have anti-aging properties by inhibiting cellular senescence and promoting the synthesis of collagen and other related proteins. Cleroindicin B has also been shown to have therapeutic potential in diseases such as diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and arthritis. The compound has not been found to have any toxicities or side effects when administered orally.
