2-Amino-6-chloropurine
2-Amino-6-chloropurine is used in the enzymatic synthesis of 2′-deoxyguanosine. 6-Chloroguanine was found to be a substrate for P. falciparum HGXPRT (Hypoxanthine-guanine-xanthine phosphoribosyltransferase). It inhibited [3H]hypoxanthine uptake into parasites with IC50 of 67µM.
