Benzylamine

Benzylamine undergoes oxidative deamination reaction catalyzed by benzylamine oxidase and monoamine oxidase type B. Benzylamine (BnNH2) is an aromatic amine widely used for the production of organic fine chemicals and many pharmaceutical compounds. It can be prepared by the hydrogenation of benzonitrile and reductive amination of benzaldehyde using a metal catalyst.
