Pyronaridine
Pyronaridine is a lipophilic Mannich base with potent antimalarial and potential antiviral activities. It inhibits haemozoin formation in Plasmodium by binding haematin, leading to parasite death. Pyronaridine is also active against P. falciparum and has shown efficacy against Echinococcus granulosus infections.
