5-ROX
5-ROX (5-Carboxy-X-rhodamine) is a rhodamine dye that exhibits strong fluorescence in aqueous buffer with an excitation maximum (λₑₓᵢₜ) at 580 nm (ε = 3.6 × 10⁴ M⁻¹ cm⁻¹) and an emission maximum (λₑₘᵢₜ) at 604 nm (ϕ = 0.94). It is highly photostable and widely used for biomolecular labeling and fluorescence-based detection.
