C6 Ceramide
C6 Ceramide (C6-Cer, N-Hexanoylsphingosine) is a short-chain, cell-permeable ceramide with anticancer properties, including cell cycle arrest, apoptosis, and tumor growth inhibition. It enhances chemotherapy efficacy in drug-resistant cancers by promoting miR-29b expression, which suppresses endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and angiogenesis through the Akt signaling pathway. In combination with Trichostatin A, C6 Ceramide disrupts the HDAC6/PP1/tubulin complex, leading to AKT dephosphorylation.
