(+)-Borneol-2,3,3-[d3] is an isotope analogue of (+)-Borneol. (+)-Borneol is found in traditional Chinese medicine as moxa. It is a component of many essential oils, and can be also used as a natural insect repellent. (+)-Borneol is a positive allosteric modulator of α1β2γ2L subunit-containing GABAA receptors with an EC50 value of 237 µM for human recombinant receptors expressed in X. laevis oocytes.
