Evodiamine, a natural product isolated and purified from the fruits of Evodia rutaecarpa (Juss.) Benth. with anti-oxidation, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects, is an apoptosis inducer via the AKT pathway and an inhibitor of cancer cells proliferation via inhibition of MTDH expression and activation of apoptosis.
